When I was eighteen, my dad came home with my nemesis and a DNA test report in hand.

Suddenly, floating comments appeared before my eyes like a live stream: "The heroine is no longer the only daughter of the Vanderbilt family." "The show begins! Let me savor this family drama!"

I was furious and slammed the table: "You bold illegitimate child! How dare you step into my house!"

My dad immediately covered my mouth and scolded: "Don't talk nonsense! Julian is your mom's and my biological son."

Julian and I were born on the same year, same month, and same day. If he is my mom and dad's child... Then who am I?

High school graduation. I walked out of the exam hall full of confidence, looking for my nemesis, Julian. The exam felt smooth. I wouldn't say I'd be the state valedictorian, but beating Julian should be a lock. I had to go rub it in his face.

The students poured out of the school like wild dogs off the leash. But finding Julian was easy. Just look for the tallest guy in the crowd. After all, Julian is 6'3". I scanned the crowd and locked onto him instantly.

Julian looked weird today. He was wearing a flashy suit and seemed to have styled his hair. Looking a little handsome. The roses in his arms were still fresh with dew. Oh no, this guy is definitely going to confess his love to someone.

I calculated the failure rate of Julian's confession. Rich kid, straight-A student, school heartthrob, captain of the basketball team with abs... Plus a bunch of first-place trophies from various competitions. With all these buffs, the probability of Julian failing his confession was lower than the sun rising from the west tomorrow. Is this guy really going to win at both love and academics? No way. Not on my watch.

I hid behind the crowd, secretly took a photo, and sent it to Julian's mom. Auntie May, I'm reporting Julian for dating early. Auntie May replied quickly: Bella, isn't Julian confessing to you? Are you rejecting him and reporting him at the same time?

Huh? Me? Confessing to me? In an instant, I felt like I was hit by Pikachu's Thunderbolt, fried to a crisp. Wait, I'm not a French fry. I mean, I was shocked to the core.

No! Is that the point? The point is, I treat Julian as my nemesis, and he wants to date me? Even if he's the school heartthrob, that's a no. For the first time, I felt my 5'3" height was actually pretty good. Easy to slip away. I followed the crowd and snuck home. After graduation, I should be catching up on sleep. Dating is such a waste of time.
