The academic genius unconditionally stepped in for the popular girl, but who could blame him? Her father is just too wealthy.

Everyone believes Bailey is hopelessly devoted to Scarlett Song, the flirtatious campus beauty. He takes her notes when she skips class, covers for her other boyfriends, and spends three years coaching her from failing grades to a place at Harvard University. Then, right before the semester begins, she dumps him for Chris, calling him boring.

What no one knows is that Bailey's pursuit was never about love. Scarlett's wealthy father paid him to get her into Harvard, and now the money has arrived. Bailey quietly leaves, flies to Paris, and builds a new life studying design.

Years later, he returns as a celebrated designer, and a class reunion brings Scarlett's name back into his world.
