Wedding Turned into Mourning

On her wedding day, Mona's sister Gail is drugged and assaulted by a group of groomsmen, then leaps to her death at Mona's feet. When Mona learns Lori Reilly orchestrated it, Herbert Brady smashes her phone to stop her calling the police, offers ten million dollars for her silence, and warns her that Lori belongs to the city's elite inner circle. Mona snaps the card in two.

Herbert seals the estate, has Gail's body cremated to erase the evidence, and locks Mona in the bridal suite, insisting they will finish the wedding once she calms down. Before Gail's memorial shrine, Lori and Chloe Brady mock her grief, and Herbert binds Mona's knees with his belt, forcing her to kneel and mourn while he tends Lori's wounds.

Then a housekeeper whispers that she holds proof of what was done to Gail and asks Mona to meet her in the garden that night, unseen.
