Surprise! You're Not the Don's Wife

When Mae goes to replace her marriage certificate, the registrar tells her it is a forgery: no record of her marriage exists. The only registration for Michele Corleone names Rita Greco as his legal wife. After four years as his wife, Mae realises she was never let into his real life, and she calls the father she left behind, asking to come home.

Then she learns she is pregnant with Michele's child, and overhears him say he will not let her join the famiglia because Rita needs the title of his wife. At an amusement park, she watches Michele embrace Rita and her son Antonio, whom he has quietly made his adopted heir, while the family calls Mae a woman with no name.

As her father's face fills the screen, Mae's voice breaks.
