The Ghost Of My Love His Belated Tears

Chloe was never wanted by her family, yet she believed she had found her happily ever after when she married Ethan Vance. That illusion shatters the night a speeding truck strikes her in the rain. As she lies dying on the asphalt, her emergency call reaches Ethan at a concert, where he hangs up on her cries for help while her best friend Hailey whispers beside him. Her mother ignores her calls, busy throwing a yacht party for her brother.

After her death, her biological parents sign a settlement and drop all charges, and Ethan stands at her grave holding Hailey's hand, saying a woman like her is better off dead. Only then does Chloe understand how deeply everyone hated her.

Yet her soul is pulled back to watch Ethan and Hailey together, and the memories return: the boy who once saved her from bullies, the friend she protected since childhood, and the fish-shaped necklace he had promised her. Why, then, are they the ones weeping for her now?
