Story

The story

For five years, Selene has been Salveth Bloodmoor's hidden Omega, kept behind closed doors in the Bloodmoor Pack, her scent suppressed so no one would ever catch her trace on the Alpha. When he takes another she-wolf to the Blood Moon revel and kisses her before thousands of wolves, Selene sees the truth of where she stands.

Struck by his car and waking in a private Healing Hall, she asks who the woman is. His answer is cold: he is her Alpha, and she should focus on healing. So she calls her uncle Harkon through the sending-stone and accepts the arranged mating bond he once offered, ready to sever her ties to the Pack.

But Salveth returns for his keys, and Selene must smile and call him Alpha while he warns her that their arrangement grants her no privileges in his pack.

Opening excerpt

Salveth Bloodmoor had two front-row tickets to the Blood Moon revel tucked neatly into the breast pocket of his tailored coat. I thought he had planned a surprise for me. I was giddy with anticipation, counting down the nights until the revel. But when the night finally came, I found out he had taken those tickets and gone off on Pack business instead.
